Hi guys,
We are in process of buying a 3d scanner.our parts are quiet large typically 5'x5'x3'.
Could anyone please inform me about the scanner that can handle such size with a minimum accuracy of 0.125mm.We would like to scan in as few steps as possible. Our parts are typically casting.
I appreciate your help.

Hi,

I'm an application specialist at Creaform, a company that manufactures 3d scanners and measuring solutions.

Might I suggest you have a look at the systems we manufactures at: www.creaform3d.com. We have several systems that should meet your requirements.

I've scanned boat impeller castings and even airplanes before so that should easily meet your requirements as far as size goes. For your accuracy requirements, we can go down to 40 micron if needed.

For those interested we also maintain a corporate blog at blog.creaform3d.com if you are interested in seeing the type of thing that we do.

For any questions feel free to ask here or PM me.

Cheers,

Patrice
