I am currently working on a project that involves heavy usage of a laser scanner. Since I am new to this field I am looking for some information on laser scanners that can dump information into a 3rd party program such as Microsoft Excel. I would like for the device to be handheld if possible and transmit the data wirelessly.
The device will need to be capable of taking 30 data points of a distance of approximately 15 feet. I do not need a device that will do a profile scan just a device to give me an average distance of an uneven surface profile.
Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
