I everyone. We are new to this forum and look forward to future discussions! In the meantime we have a question on how best to integrate point cloud models to 3d Studio Max2010.

A little background: We are a company that does 3d GIS environmental modeling (ie. mining, renewables etc.) If you care to see our work feel free to visit us @ www.envisage3d.com.

Here is a list of relevant software packages we have:
AutoCAD2010
ArcMap9.3
3dMax2010
Visual Nature Studio/World Construction Set (3dnature.com)

The company we would partner with mainly utilizes the Leica Cyclone scanner.

Here is our question, we are trying to find the best way to integrate point cloud models into 3dstudio via AutoCAD or something similar.

I see that Leica has a Leica CloudWorx for AutoCAD. Would this be the best product to purchase or can someone help with additional ideas for a product that would be a better fit for our needs?

Thank you all so much in advance and have a pleasant day!

Regards,
Ted

We also have the NavisWorks2010 software. (Have not opened and/or used so don't know if this would be a good go between or not?)
