Greetings all,

First I would like to say, I am very grateful that this forum exists! Next, I am a complete newbie when it comes to 3d scanning so please excuse my ignorance! Ok with that out of the way I can ask my question.

I need to make 3d scans of small metallic fragments that come in a variety of shapes and sizes. I am looking to get the surface area of these fragments. What would be the ideal software/hardware setup and why?

Thanks in advance,
Thomas

Thomas,

I should be able to give you some direction. If you were to send me some images of the samples that you are trying scan.

Sincerely,
