Scanner for robotics

Hi there scanner enthusiasts,

I have a new robotics research project where I need to mount a laser scanner on a simple robotic mobile unit constituted by a Neuronics Katana arm on an Activ Media Pioneer 3DX.

This unit will scan very detailed objects with edges, occlusions and so fort. The scanner should use to much power and it shall be very accurate. It does need a reach between 20 cm and 1 meter. The objects will be of dull colors.

Which laser scanner do you recommend ? Idea
