Heya,
I've been working with face scanning for a bit and was wondering if anyone else has worked with it and could give me some pointers? Currently I'm using VX Technologies StarCam, the pretty basic version, only one camera and no option to take color scans. I've gotten it to a point where the procedure I use produces satisfactory results but would like something that could do more high res detail, the meshes I get range usually between 100k and 500k tris that gives me the overall shape of who I scanned with only a bit of cleanup afterwords if I'm lucky. I guess I'm asking if there is a way to capture details like pores, wrinkles, etc. or if there is some kind of system out there now with that capability without being harmful to shoot in a live person's face yet fast enough to not worry too much about movement (which I understand is always a factor with these things ). Any tips, pointers or suggestions would be awesome! Thanks a bunch!!
Hey
I know that RSI GmbH has a Face and Full Body Scanner and the possibilties to scan wounds. They are from Germany, like me, but they work international. A friend of me did a face scan there to countersink a colored 3-D-Model of his head, wich worked very well. i don't know but maybe they can help you.
